How do I share Harriet skills with my team?

After skills are approved, use the Endpoint AI console to assign Harriet skills or profiles to teams or users—including Quick assign from the Harriet skills list.

Approved Harriet skills (including package skills from Skilify) are not automatically visible to everyone. Administrators distribute them from the Endpoint AI console using assignments aligned with your organization’s teams (Harriet groups) and profiles.

Assign a skill to a team or user

From Harriet skills in the Endpoint AI console, open Quick assign for a skill (or equivalent entry point). The dialog title follows the pattern Assign “{skill name}”.

  1. Under Assign, choose:
    • This Harriet skill — grant the individual skill to someone, or
    • Profile (bundled roles) — attach a profile (a bundle of defaults) instead of a single skill when that fits your model.
  2. Under Assign to, choose Team or User, then pick the team (group) or user.
  3. Submit to create the assignment. You should see confirmation that the assignment was added.

Notes from the product UI

  • For Team, assigning This Harriet skill is not available—you assign a Profile to a team, or use User to assign a single skill to a person.
  • If no profiles exist yet, create them under Manage → Profiles (wording may vary slightly).

Defaults and channels

Separately from one-off assignments, skill editors can set whether a skill is a default for private chat, public channels, or the website widget—only where your admin permissions allow. Coordinate with IT so defaults match your least-privilege policy.
